How do you heal a broken melody?
The easy answer is with a new song,
but what if the song is one you can’t end?
Looped over itself like oroboros,
forever repeating the dissonance of the past.
Reverberations of echoed failure sitting like leaden weight
in every played chord: past, present, and future
-Perhaps, there is salvation in the dissonance –
All chords are made of the same parts, in the end.
-Perhaps again the melody is not broken, but simply
has not yet been played in its fullness.
In its ghost tone completeness and perfection.
I suppose the hard answer might be by waiting
