Echo Echo

Posted on May 28, 2018January 18, 2019 by Torrey

bullshit

not cut out for this-

Your siren echo is fading into the surface of the water you have pulled me into

as I sink further down.

I have a few precious moments left

before you pierce me again with

that trident you call Care.

But

I will not flail into the darkness.

we once were of this place

and our memories still feel the pull

gnawing in the back of our mind.

That reptilian brain

poised to strike

and turn what we fear into nothing

You haven’t really ever asked what I consider myself

and maybe its for the best you don’t.

Fill those blanks in yourself like you have.

Just know that the flash of feathers

 you seem to expect

 might be more than that
